Explanation
The names, the map rules, the rescans and the security of the server, with the reasons for each rule.
- Concepts
The names that ShellGraph uses, and how they relate to each other.
- How the map is made
The server finds a destination for each connection. When the destination is not a collected host, the arrow goes to Internet, No access or Outside environment.
- Rescans
A new scan replaces the data of the hosts in the VLAN. The map shows the last scan only.
- Authentication and roles
Users log in with LDAP or OIDC. Their groups give the role. The server has no local users.
- Security
The server keeps the SSH keys encrypted and sends them only to collectors, through TLS.
- Known limits
Connections, hosts and platforms that ShellGraph cannot see.
